A Positive Influence on Others
Conflict can arise at any point in life. Confronting issues can be daunting on many levels. But not confronting them can be like ignoring a leak in a dam – over time the hole gets bigger until the whole dam bursts and destroys everything in the water’s path. We often have no idea what we’ll have to contend with when we confront issues. But there are things we can do to build up our courage to take wise action. You can pray and ask for clear direction and insight into the situation, and trust that God will use the situation and turn it around for good. You can have faith! Deuteronomy 31:6 tells us “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” How you handle conflict matters. Let your faith be your guide to do what is pleasing in God’s eyes, no matter how challenging it may be. People are watching. They are looking for people who will do the right thing. When you handle conflict allowing God to lead you, you’ll have a positive influence on others.
